How the Nazis Stole Christmas

Swastika Christmas tree ornaments, "Germanic" cookies and made-up traditions: A new exhibition highlights how the Nazis tried to take Christ out of Christmas. But their attempts to hijack a festival that began with the birth of a Jewish child weren’t entirely successful.

No.  Seriously!

I found this crazy little article interesting and disturbing at the same time.  This puts a whole new spin on some of the books I’ve read on WWI and WWII.  I hadn’t really put that much thought into it before, but it does make sense though.

That’s it.  No witty banter or sardonic jests today.  I just thought it was interesting and wanted to share.
